Lead expert to develop the Extended Migration Profile of Kazakhstan

Position: Consultant
Duty station: Almaty
Closing date: 25 October 2019 (midnight GMT +6)

IOM Subregional Coordination Office in Kazakhstan is seeking qualified individuals to develop an in-depth report the “Extended Migration Profile of Kazakhstan” (EMP) based on the IOM template and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Advanced University Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics and/or other relevant field with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience;
• Ability to work with and attract the audience;
• Excellent understanding of migration processes and challenges in Kazakhstan and a wider region;
• Experience in working at or with international organizations;
• Experience in liaising with government authorities and diplomatic missions, as well as with international institutions;
• Experience of working with and/or familiarity with IOM and its project implementation principles is an asset;
• Strong analytical, research, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills;
• Readiness to travel;
• Professional knowledge of Russian language;
• Knowledge of English and Kazakh is an advantage.
